And after that, she signed with Ultimate Fighting Championships. Her success in and out of the Octagon has made her a household brand since she was a part of the UFC. Namajunas was born on June 29 1993 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian Immigrant family. Rose participated in kickboxing and basketball as a child. Invicta Fighting Championships took her on the 18-year-old at the age of 18, and she was able to take home two fights by submission. This caught the attention to Dana White who signed her to join the UFC s strawweight division in December 2014 at just 22. Rose has experienced highs and lows during her career however, she has always come out triumphant. Rose fought Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout in just three minutes of the round One. Rose was also awarded Fighter Of The Night and set a record as it was the first time that a woman had ever competed in a tournament with a major promoter all over the world. After this win, Namajunas went onto have several other victories in which she defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC following these victories .
